With over 2000 invitees from over 800 universities across 80 countries .The GSUA Summit , Awards and Exhibition promises to be a lily pad for the generation of ideas which will spur on greater advancements of education in the Global South with facilitation by seasoned speakers drawn from academia and the corporate world .
The Africa Asia Scholars Global Network (AASGON) a signatory to the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and member of the UK Stakeholders for Sustainable Development (UKSSD) in partnership with the Global South Universities Association (GSUA)have the immense pleasure of inviting academics and the world at large to the 1st Global South University Awards (GSUA) Summit, Awards & Exhibition themed “Reformation of contemporary approach to education, knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship, communication and immersion aspired for sustainable 21st Century.”
The international summit, awards and exhibition will witness the official inauguration of the Global South Universities Association GSUA and the launch of the Global South Centre for Research, Innovation, Peace and Technology for Sustainable Development (G-SCRIPTS-D).
The GSUA Summit discussions will aim to take the dialogue from strategy towards implementation, and the possible models that can work best for in particular, the developing countries of the Global South as a means to narrowing the ever increasing Global – North South Divide and the rebuilding of the bricks of our fractured world as propagated in 2018 by the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland.
Within the ambit of unlocking the wealth of universities, the summit will also focus on the initiation of the specific Strategic management of universities skills for purposeful and sustainable development.
The summit will endeavour to create a base for knowledge sharing and deliberations about the various activities in the talent and skill development space, undertaken by secondary and higher education as well as the public and private educational and corporate institutions that are working resolutely to address the shortcomings in the education and knowledge sphere.
